He explains the confusion surrounding the Manila Amendments and the implications to the shipping industry and individuals alike. This new training needs to take place for all seafarers before January 2014 when certification needs to be in place. The 2 new courses are “Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PDSD) & “Proficiency in Security Awareness (PSA)
