To offer an unrivalled maritime security service by drawing on our associates' maritime security knowledge; borne out of experience, and a skill base that has been tested at the forefront of maritime security provision worldwide.

Profile

IMSA associates are drawn from a wide ranging skill set and experience base. Many come from lengthy military service in some of the premier Maritime Counter Terrorist/Maritime Security organisations in the world. Others come from Police/Law Enforcement backgrounds.

Whilst numerous companies offer Maritime Security Services few have true in-house Maritime Security specialists. Many IMSA personnel have experience of working in the maritime sector onboard commercial vessels, cruise ships, super yachts and offshore installations and are STCW rated. IMSA can offer this expertise on an outsourcing basis to provide your company/organisation with current, up to date and experienced operatives whose skills are constantly being tested and updated across the whole spectrum of Maritime Security Provision.

A common factor amongst all IMSA associates is their exposure to the commercial maritime sector.

Background

There has been a dramatic change in the way that the maritime industry thinks about maritime security since the imposition of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code on 01 July 2004. The need for trained and competent maritime security personnel is paramount. The industry needs maritime security professionals with the experience and skill base to train and nurture fledgling maritime security operatives, many of whom come to the industry with very little or no security experience.

With the ever increasing demands for oil, gas and general cargo the threat to supply lines grows daily. This often fragile supply chain needs to be protected, be it the onshore/offshore facilities used for loading and offloading or the shipping required for the transportation of 90% of world trade.

IMSA offers professional expertise, a strong skill base, excellent links and contacts within the maritime security industry. These skills, combined with leading edge technology, help customers achieve cost effective solutions enabling them to achieve their maritime security goals.

IMSA Involvement
