Sub-Saharan Africa project required a Port Facility Security Plan
Scenario:
A new LNG project in Sub Saharan Africa was required to have a Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) produced to meet the requirements of the Contracting Government.
Threat:
Piracy, Terrorism and community issues.
Conclusion:
IMSA undertook the On Site Security Survey (OSSS) and from the OSSS produced a PFSP which was subsequently approved by the Contracting Government. Having an approved PFSP means that the shipping required to provide the logistic support can operate with confidence in the knowledge that the LNG operating company have taken the necessary steps to operate their Port Facility to the standards required by the ISPS code and the Contracting Government.
