The ‘+’ of the SSO (plus+) course consists of additional modules which have been introduced into IMSA Ltd’s standard certificated ISPS Code SSO Course. The modules are designed to provide additional information on merchant ships and the shipping industry, to delegates whose experience of either is slight. They also bring some informed, professional insight on the ‘Threat-of-the-Day’ – Piracy

A Ship Security Officer (SSO) is responsible for the security of the ship and maintaining the Ship Security plan set out by the Company in accordance with the ISPS Code.

A Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) is responsible for the development and maintenance of the the Port Facility Security plan.
